Suggestion:
Well done for getting the job! I guess it could be quite varied, but I imagine that at least some of it requires specialist knowledge about products so they probably wouldn't put you on the shop floor right away. maybe in the stockroom to begin with, and maybe give you the boring jobs like sweeping up and cleaning the shelves etc. But don't let it put you off – even the manager had to start somewhere! it's all good experience, and you'll have a bit of dosh for Christmas to look forward to!
Even if you hate it, it's only for 6 weeks and ' this too will pass.'
On the other hand, you might love it, they might love you, and you might end up with a weekend job out of it.
You'll be fine, enjoy it!
